The English Department is excited to announce these Creative Writing Awards.  Students, please submit your work!

 
THE EVANS HARRINGTON CREATIVE WRITING SCHOLARSHIP

Awarded to the freshman or sophomore who shows the most promise in creative writing

One $2,000 tuition waiver

 
THE ELLA SOMERVILLE AWARD

Given to the juniors or seniors who demonstrate the most talent in fiction and poetry

Two $200 Awards

 
THE BONDURANT PRIZE

Presented tot the Graduate Students who write the best fiction and poetry

Two $500 Awards

 
*Submit no more than one manuscript per category:

poetry (up to three poems) or fiction (one story)

 
PUT CONTEST NAME, ADDRESS, PHONE NUMBER, AND E-MAIL ADDRESSES ON A SEPARATE COVER SHEET (NOT MANUSCRIPT) TO ENSURE ANONYMITY

 
Deliver hard copies to the English Department in Bondurant Hall

The deadline is Friday, February 23, at noon.
