This study has been approved by the Institutions Review Board (IRB Protocol #: 18-084). The Neuromuscular Lab (Turner Center 243A) is looking for male and female volunteers for the upcoming study investigating, Rate of Force Development after performing two different fatiguing interventions of the elbow flexors. You must be at least 18 years old and cannot be older than 35 years of age and be considered untrained (i.e., no regimented resistance exercise within the previous 6 months).

Total time commitment will be 5 hours maximum over the course of 4 weeks. Among these visits, the 1st will be familiarization of the procedures and equipment. Visits 2-4 will be randomized in that, you will be performing either elbow lengthening under tension or shortening contractions until failure, or control, in which only maximal contractions against an immovable object will be performed. During these visits, we will be analyzing the electrical activity of the muscle.
