Graduate Writing Center (GWC) Spr. '21 Workshop Series

The Graduate Writing Center presents a workshop series on three themes: APA, 'Endgame,' & Proofreading/Revision. Registration required.


Over the next three weeks, the Graduate Writing Center will be presenting six (virtual) workshops for graduate writers on the following three themes: APA, "Endgame," and Proofreading & Revision Strategies (two identical workshop sessions for each theme). 

Workshop Sessions & Descriptions:

APA: Thursday, 4/15, 1pm & Wednesday, 4/21, 1pm

This workshop will include coverage of some basic APA formatting rules for research papers and references, as well as the changes from the 6th to the 7th edition of the handbook. There will also be time for Q&A. (There will be two different sessions of this workshop that cover the same material.)

"Endgame": Wednesday, 4/7, 1pm & Wednesday, 4/14, 1pm

the Graduate Writing Center (GWC), in collaboration with the Graduate School, presents a free workshop for Graduate Writers finishing a dissertation, thesis, or other end-of-term manuscript. There will be tips on final manuscript preparation, including proofreading and formatting tips. There will be Q&A. (There will be two different sessions of this workshop that cover the same material.)

Proofreading/Revision Strategies: Monday, 4/12, 1pm & Monday, 4/19, 1pm

This workshop will focus mainly on strategies for writers to employ for effective proofreading and revision. There will also be time for Q&A. (There will be two different sessions of this workshop that cover the same material.)
