The University will be closed July 4th and 5th

Employees should record their time for Thursday, July 4th as Holiday and Friday, July 5th as Administrative Leave

Governor Phil Bryant has declared Friday, July 5th a state wide holiday and Interim Chancellor Sparks and Provost Wilkin have decided the University will observe this date as well.  Therefore, the campus will be closed both Thursday, July 4th and Friday, July 5th.

Non-exempt (hourly) employees should record their time for Thursday, July 4th as Holiday and Friday, July 5th as Administrative Leave.  As a reminder, overtime pay applies to hours worked over 40 hours in a work week.  Holiday pay counts toward the hours used to accumulate 40 hours but administrative leave does not.  Please contact payroll (payroll@olemiss.edu, 915-7068 or 915-7079) with any questions.

The e-form deadline for the July 15th payroll will now be July 1st instead of July 2nd.
