Scanning Electron Microscopy Facility Open

The School of Pharmacy's Microscopy and Imaging Center is now open to student, faculty and staff for research purposes.


The UM School of Pharmacy Microscopy and Imaging Center, also known as the Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) Core is now open to student, faculty and staff for research purposes. The SEM, located in the Thad Cochran Research Center on the Oxford campus, is capable of creating high-resolution SEM imaging of various samples, conducting elemental analysis and mapping using Energy Dispersive X-ray Spectroscopy (EDS), providing hands-on training on sample preparation techniques, SEM and EDS operation, and providing SEM instrumentation demonstration for undergraduate and graduate student groups.
