First Tuesdays in Bryant Hall: a Noontime Music Series
Flutist Nave Graham performs in Bryant Hall, featuring music by Eve Beglarian, Elizabeth Brown, and Caleb Burhans. 12:15-1:00 pm, free.
Bring your lunch and a friend to our new First Tuesday Noontime Music Series in Bryant Hall. On December 3rd, join us as Nave Graham, a new flutist on the Ole Miss Music faculty, performs Eve Beglarian's "I Will Not Be Sad in this World," Elizabeth Brown's "Arcana," and Caleb Burhans's, "A Moment for Elliott Smith."
Graham says: "The Beglarian is based on a gorgeous song by Armenian troubadour, Sayat Nova. It also features the alto flute. Arcana is titled and inspired by the definition of arcanum: '1. A deep secret; a mystery. 2. Often arcana. Specialized knowledge that is mysterious to the average person. 3. A secret essence or remedy; an elixir.' And the Burhans is a sort of homage to 90s singer-songwriter, Elliott Smith."
From 12:15-1:00 pm, enjoy live music right in the heart of campus, in the rotunda and faculty commons of one of Ole Miss's most beautiful buildings. Settle into a comfortable couch, have lunch at one of the tables, or stroll around Bryant Hall's gorgeous entryway as you listen.
Don't miss this wonderful musical experience in Bryant Hall (right next to Fulton Chapel on the Circle). Lunches welcome.
Parking: there is free parking at the Ford Center if you don't mind a short walk, there are metered spaces at Howry Hall, or you may purchase a visitor's pass at the kiosk and park right on the Circle.
