Blackboard Unavailable - December 14-21, 2020

On Monday, December 14, beginning at 5:00 AM CST, IT will begin an upgrade of Blackboard Learn to the latest stable release. During this maintenance, blackboard.olemiss.edu will be offline and users will be unable to log in. We expect the upgrade to be completed and Blackboard to be available by end of day, December 21. However, we will make every effort to complete this work as quickly as possible and will announce availability once the maintenance is complete.

If you are the instructor of a Blackboard course and anticipate that you will need access to your Blackboard Grade Center data during the upgrade period (12/14 - 12/21), we advise that you download a copy of your Blackboard Grade Center data to Excel prior to December 14. For instructions on downloading your Grade Center data, view the Downloading/Uploading Grades section of the Blackboard Grade Center Tutorial. Instructors who have emergency need to access information in Blackboard during this outage can send a detailed request (course, section, term, and the specific content needed) to blackboard@olemiss.edu.  Login by individual instructors will not be possible, but IT staff may be able to fulfill these requests during limited periods throughout the upgrade process.
