Dear University Employees,

The University will close at 12 p.m. on Friday, December 20, 2019.  We will re-open campus at 8 a.m. on Thursday, January 2, 2020.  To assure that every employee enjoys the unscheduled four-hour break, we hope that custodial, grounds, and others whose work hours are outside the normal 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. schedule, will be released four hours earlier in their work day or be given compensatory leave during the next pay period.  The intent of the earlier closing is to provide every employee with four hours release above the normal holiday schedule.

The final payroll for 2019 will be distributed on Thursday, December 19, 2019.  To be processed on the December 19, 2019 payroll, all timesheets must be entered and approved by 12 p.m. on Friday, December 13, 2019. 

NOTE:  The pay period ends on Tuesday, December 24, 2019.  Accordingly, non-exempt (hourly) employees should provide a reasonable estimate for time not yet worked.  All non-exempt (hourly) employees should submit four (4) hours of Administrative Leave (JURY line) for Friday, December 20, 2019.  Any corrections to estimated time should be made on the January 15, 2020 payroll.
