Park-N-Ride, Winter Holiday Parking and Buses
Please read the full announcement for information about parking and bus transportation during the winter holiday.
Parking During the Winter Break and Holidays: The University will be open for administrative operations between Monday, December 16th and Friday, December 20th. Administrative offices will be closed starting Monday, December 23rd through Wednesday, January 1st and will reopen on Thursday, January 2nd. While administrative offices are open and between December 16th and January 20th (Winter Intersession), all parking rules and regulations will still be enforced with the following zone exceptions:
Park-N-Ride (whether faculty/staff or student), Student Residential (East, West, Central, South, Campus Walk and Residential Garage), Pavilion Garage, and Commuters permits will be allowed to park in any student zone (residential or commuter).
The parking restrictions related to South Oxford Center (SOC) decals will remain in effect.
Faculty/staff will be allowed to park in student residential and commuter designated areas.
All vehicles parked on campus will still require a parking permit.
Park-N-Ride Services Suspended During the Winter Break: The Gold, Silver, and Bronze Lines will not run between Monday, December 16th and Monday, January 20th. When the Park-N-Ride services are not running, Park-N-Ride permit holders (whether faculty/staff or student) may park in any student area of campus including student residential and commuter zones. Park-N-Ride services will resume at 7:00 AM Tuesday, January 21st after which normal zone restrictions will be enforced.
City Buses and the Campus Shuttles Rebel Red and Rebel Blue Lines: The city bus lines, including the Yellow, Green, Red (North and South), Blue (East and West), Hathorn Express, and Old-Taylor Road Express lines will operate but on a reduced schedule. Please visit the OUT Website for details. The campus shuttle lines, Rebel Red and Rebel Blue, will operate a normal schedule when any academic credited classes are scheduled (including intersession). The Rebel Red and Rebel Blue will not operate between Monday, December 16th and Wednesday, January 1st but will resume operation on Thursday, January 2nd with the start of the Winter Intersession classes.
South Oxford Center Connector Shuttle: The SOC will continue to operate on a normal schedule anytime the University’s administrative offices are open. This includes periods when there are no scheduled academic classes. The shuttle will not operate while the University is closed between December 23rd and January 1st. Service will resume on Thursday, January 2nd at 7:00 AM. Vehicles with an SOC parking permit are still restricted to the SOC parking zones while administrative offices are open.
