Bus System Changes for Spring 2020

The OUT transit system will be making some mid-year changes to the number of vehicles serving several routes on campus and in the city.

The Oxford-University Transit system will be making some mid-year changes to the number of vehicles serving several routes on campus and in the city. The Rebel Red and Rebel Blue campus circulator shuttle will be reduced to one bus in each direction. This is a reduction of two buses and will reduce overall service on the route. Headway scheduling (the time between buses) will increase to 20 minutes or more in either direction.

Additionally, the Silver Line, which serves as a connector between the Park-N-Ride areas at the new South Campus Recreation Center (SCRC) and the Kennon Observatory Transportation Hub, will be incorporated into the Green Line and the Old Taylor Road Express (OTR). Both the Green and the OTR lines previously stopped at SCRC on their route heading to and away from Kennon. These two lines should still provide a comparable headway scheduling to the other Park-N-Ride services (Gold and Bronze).

Riders that routinely utilize these affected lines should be aware of the reduced service and should plan accordingly. As always, traffic and construction may result in further delays.
