Community Engagement Awards Now Open!

2020 Excellence in Community Engagement Award Applications now open! Now accepting nominations for Sullivan Award!


The University of Mississippi’s Excellence in Community Engagement (CE) Awards, recognizes outstanding projects in CE by faculty, staff, and students. The UM Excellence in CE Award will recognize the most outstanding CE project with a $5,000 award to further their community engagement work. Four finalist projects will be recognized with a $1000 award, one each from the following areas: CE Research, CE Learning, CE Service, and Engaged Scholarship.

The Algernon Sydney Sullivan Award recognizes college students, faculty, staff, and community members who exhibit virtuous civic leadership and have acted as humble servants to others by putting service of others and to community before self-interest. Individuals who do not actively seek recognition are prime candidates for this award. This award does not accept self-nominations.
