Mini grants for Graduate Instructors of Record

Graduate instructors of record in the fall may earn $500 to learn how to use written and oral communication in the classroom


The Department of Writing and Rhetoric invites graduate students who will be instructor of record in the fall to apply for $500 mini-grants to learn ways to use writing and speaking as modes of learning, as well as ways to report one's learning.

Grantees will participate in three days of workshops, three hours each, at the conclusion of the spring semester to develop a plan for the fall semester. The grant will be disbursed in two payments, one at the beginning and the other at the end of the process, when grantees will provide a brief report of their use of written/oral communication during the fall semester.
