Mini grants for Graduate Instructors of Record and TAs

Graduate instructors of record and TAs may earn $500 to develop ways to include writing, thinking and critical thinking in the classroom.


The Department of Writing and Rhetoric invites graduate students who will be instructor of record or TAs in the fall to apply for $500 mini-grants to learn ways to use writing and speaking as modes of learning, as well as opportunities for thinking critically.

Grantees will participate in three days of intensive workshops, at the conclusion of the spring semester, to develop a plan for the fall semester. Grantees will provide a brief report of how they used writing, speaking, and/or critical thinking at the conclusion of the fall semester.
