Diversity and Community Engagement

The Division of Diversity and Community Engagement would like to continue its support and recognition of exemplary efforts to address diversity, equity, and inclusion. We are now accepting applications for 2 initiatives: Diversity Incentive Fund & Diversity Innovator Award for Faculty and Staff.

 

The Diversity Incentive Fund provides financial support to diversity, equity, and inclusion related programs and initiatives on campus. During these socially distant times, events and programs have looked different than usual, but the Diversity Incentive Fund still seeks to support innovative efforts that continue to make our campus a more diverse, inclusive, and equitable place. Previous award amounts have ranged from $500 – $2,000. Visit this link to learn more about the submission and award criteria. The deadline for Fall 2020 funding is October 14, 2020; Spring 2021 requests will be accepted November 13, 2020 – February 5, 2021.

 

The Diversity Innovator Award recognizes faculty and staff who have demonstrated a commitment to the advancement of diversity, equity, and inclusion at the University of Mississippi and beyond. Diversity Innovator Award winners will receive an award package including $1,000 in professional development/research funding, an engraved plaque, and campus-wide recognition for their efforts.
