Everbridge Announced as Official Mobile Safety App
Students, faculty and staff encouraged to download smartphone app to connect directly with safety, transportation and other resources
University of Mississippi faculty, staff and students are encouraged to download Everbridge, a secure and private smartphone app that connects individuals in our campus community with safety, transportation and other resources.
The mobile application replaces LiveSafe as the university’s official mobile safety app.
Additional features of Everbridge include buttons such as safe corridor, which allows users to enable an interval-based check-in for late night walks on campus, and emergency call, which will connect users directly with University Police Department dispatchers. Users may also securely report suspicious activity, crimes, or other information to university police within the app.
Previously used by the university in 2020 for assistance with contract tracing initiatives, Everbridge now provides students, faculty and staff the ability to self-report if they have tested positive for COVID-19.
Contact information of mobile app users is never exchanged or shared with other app users and faculty, staff and students are encouraged to download Everbridge for free by visiting Apple and Android app stores or by visiting olemiss.edu/mobile.
