Financial Aid

COVID-19-related financial aid available to students.

All students can now apply now for financial assistance for costs associated with the pandemic. Eligibility is not guaranteed.


The Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund III (HEERF III) has provided money for student financial aid grants. These federal funds can be used for any component of a student’s cost of attendance or for emergency costs that arise due to coronavirus, such as tuition, food, housing, health care (including mental health care) or childcare. Grant amounts at the University of Mississippi will typically not exceed $3,000 per person. Eligibility is not guaranteed. but has been expanded since last semester’s HEERF II grant. More people will qualify this time, including international students.
