Invitation

Closing Soon - Registration for Mid-South BMC

The Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship is inviting all students to enter the Mid-South Business Model Competition by Oct. 25.

On Nov. 11, 2021, the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship will host the Mid-South Business Model Competition that is open to every university student in the country. This hybrid competition will take place at the Jackson Avenue Center.

The business model competition (BMC) is about the validation of a business idea. Students will need to make changes to the business/business idea based on evidence and insights they find to make sure all the crucial aspects of their business are fully validated. Their presentation is basically telling the judges about their discovery journey. Each team will have an opportunity to present their business model in front of a panel of diverse judges.

HOW TO ENTER:

1) Create a 1 minute video presentation describing your idea. You (and one other teammate if appropriate) are the only things allowed in frames. Props, dressing up, gizmos are welcome but NO POWERPOINTS.

2) Upload your video to YouTube (if you want to keep your video hidden, mark it as “unlisted”).

3) Complete the form by Oct. 25.. You may enter the Landshark Tank Pitch with the same video for a chance of winning up to $1,000!
