Virtual Reality Open House this Fri 12/3

Experience VR applications for learning, research, and innovation this Fri 12/3 from 12pm-2pm at Insight Park. All are welcome!

The McLean Institute for Public Service and Community Engagement has partnered with Jackson-based VR company Lobaki to introduce faculty, staff, students and community partners to the numerous VR applications to their work during an open house Friday, December 3, 2021 from 12:00- 2:00 p.m., at Insight Park.

The technology can be used to teach, supplement research and enhance workforce development training. To achieve that goal, new VR content must be created, which is what the Virtual Reality Learning Center is equipped to do. By leveraging this immersive technology to enhance student learning, workforce development, and job creation, the Virtual Reality Learning Center is central to the McLean Institute’s mission to partner with Mississippi communities to fight poverty through education, innovation, and entrepreneurship.
