UM Cancels Upcoming Martin Luther King, Jr. Dinner and
MLK events scheduled for upcoming weekend and Monday, Jan. 17 canceled.
Dear faculty, staff and students,
In light of ongoing challenges with COVID-19 and in the midst of the Omicron variant surge, the Division of Diversity and Community Engagement is canceling the MLK Dinner and Celebration scheduled for Friday, Jan. 14 as well as all events planned for the MLK Day of Service on Monday, Jan. 17, 2022.
While this was a difficult decision, the division is committed to celebrating the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. virtually, or at a later date, and more information will be shared when those details are finalized.
