Take a Classics Course in 2022-2023!

There are lots of ways to explore Classics next year and fulfill General Education requirements at the same time!

If you're an incoming freshman in Fall 2022 consider a course in the Department of Classics!

You can get started on a language requirement with Latin 101 (MWF 10, 11 or 12) or Ancient Greek 101 (MWF 11). If you have Latin from high school and would like to discuss placement in a higher level, email Dr. Pasco-Pranger (mpranger@olemiss.edu).

Classical Civilization classes are great ways to explore Classics and they all count for Humanities credit in the General Education requirements:

CLC 101: Intro to Greek Civilization (MWF 9)

CLC 104: Sports in the Ancient World (TTh 2:30; cross-listed with Exercise Science 105)

CLC 106: Classical Mythology (MWF 2; also offered online)

There are also spots in 300-level CLC courses in ancient history, art and archaeology, literature and religion!

See the flier for more details and don't hesitate to email with questions: mpranger@olemiss.edu
