Message to University Community About Jimmie 'Jay' Lee

As the search for Jay continues, members of the community are reminded about support services they may access.

Our university community is very concerned about missing student Jimmie “Jay” Lee, and the university is supporting the ongoing investigation run jointly by the Oxford and University of Mississippi police departments. We are keeping Jay and the Lee family in our thoughts and prayers and will continue to support them during this investigation.

We understand that this may be a very distressing time for members of our campus community, and you may feel a need to speak with someone. Students who need assistance can access the following support services from the university:
·      University Counseling Center
·      UMatter: Student Support & Advocacy
·      Student Health Services
·      Psychological Services Center
·      Clinic for Outreach and Personal Enrichment (COPE)
·      Center for Inclusion and Cross Cultural Engagement

Because this matter is an ongoing investigation, please note that the university is referring all media inquiries to Oxford Police.

The investigators who are working this case are following up on all leads and tips. If you have information that can help with the investigation, please contact OPD at 662-232-2400, UPD at 662-915-7234, and CrimeStoppers at 662-234-8477
