Events for week of 9/19 honoring Anniv. of Integration

University honoring James Meredith & 60th Anniversary of Integration; See events this week; Reserve complimentary tickets for 9/28 event


As part of its efforts to honor distinguished alumnus James Meredith and the 60th anniversary of the integration of the University of Mississippi, the university is holding numerous events and activities. See the list of events for the week of Sept. 19:  

Opening Monday, Sept. 19, UM Libraries 

“Paving the Path: James Meredith and the Integration of the University of Mississippi” 

Exhibition of archival materials focusing on UM’s commemoration of integration 

 

Tuesday, Sept. 20, 6 p.m., Fulton Chapel

“Mississippi Messiah” 

One-hour documentary about James Meredith, directed by Clay Haskell 

 

Looking Ahead 

There are several upcoming events that require registration.  

The Mission Continues: Building Upon the Legacy signature event, Sept. 28, 6:30–8:30 p.m.

The Gertrude C. Ford Center for the Performing Arts

The Longest Table: Community Dinner & ConversationsOct. 2, 5-6:30 p.m. 

The Lyceum Circle 

While the event is free and open to the public, please register by Oct. 1.
