Invitation

The Chancellor’s Servant Leadership Retreat provides 15 second-semester freshmen with the opportunity to travel to Clarksdale, Mississippi, Friday, 31 March through Sunday, 2 April 2023, to engage in place-based experiential learning, community service, culture, and leisure. During this time, participants will form connections with a diverse group of service-minded students, staff, and grass-roots community servant leaders while being introduced to concepts and skills related to leadership and social innovation. Students interested in participating in the retreat should submit an interest form by Friday, February 24, 2023 at 11:59 pm.  

Retreat participants will be encouraged to apply for membership into the forthcoming Chancellor’s Servant Leadership Fellowship developed in partnership with the Algernon Sydney Sullivan Foundation.
