Dr. Choate is Chair and Associate Professor at Allegheny College, a carbon-neutral campus. Allegheny College was the first college in Pennsylvania and eighth college in the Nation to achieve carbon neutrality (https://sites.allegheny.edu/sustainability/). Dr. Choate is an international expert in sustainability, especially as it relates to college campus environments and to developing future leaders in sustainability. She has published dozens of peer-reviewed articles and books/book chapters on sustainability and is considered one of the foremost leaders on the topic.
