Celestial Hide and Seek: The Game of Eclipses

This Astronomy Outreach talk on Sep. 24, 2023 is aimed at a general audience including children.


Ms. Elizabeth Goreth, a promising undergraduate student at the Department of Physics and Astronomy, will tell us why eclipses happen and what is the physics behind them.

We will learn how to make our own pinhole camera to safely view the upcoming solar eclipses later this Fall and Spring next year which are visible in most parts of the USA. 

This talk is aimed at the general public, including children.
