A Study on Rural, Queer Undergraduates at UM

Participate in Study on Rural, Queer Undergraduate Students at UM!

Are you a current University of Mississippi (UM) undergraduate student who is at least 18 years old, grew up in a rural area, and holds a queer identity (an umbrella term for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex, asexual, and/or additional minoritized and marginalized sexual and gender identities). Consider participating in a study being led by Professor Ty McNamee in the School of Education about the higher education experiences of queer, rural students enrolled at UM. This study focuses on the interactions among students’ rural backgrounds and queer identities and how those interactions may impact the college experiences of rural, queer students. Those students selected to participate will receive a $25 gift card. To nominate yourself for this study, please email Dr. McNamee directly at tcmcname@olemiss.edu, who will follow up with further information.
